It seems that one possible solution could be to relocate large companies and factories as well as their respective employees out of these urban areas and into more rural ones. In my opinion, I strongly agree that this would have a desired effect in making cities more livable. To begin with, the traffic problem in cities doesn’t only exist from commuting2 employees, but also the general public travelling around the city. While this may be a fact, if the number of worker’s vehicles is reduced on city streets, a large percentage of traffic will obviously decline in rush hours. For example, peak hour traffic is undoubtedly3 made up largely of people from the outer suburbs travelling to and from work in the city centre. Therefore, by relocating workers to rural areas, this problem could be solved almost entirely4.In addition, in regards to housing problems, the same example can be used. With large companies and their employees moving out of the city, the demand for accommodation would decrease. It is usually the case that inner-city apartment prices are extraordinarily5 high due to the fact that the scarcity6 of accommodation makes it a seller’s market. Thus, with a decline in the number of residents in the downtown housing market, prices would subsequently drop and this would then allow more people to purchase their own homes. Therefore, by moving large companies as well as their employees to the country, housing problems would be reduced. In conclusion, by moving large companies and their employees to rural areas, the traffic and housing problems in major cities could be resolved and therefore, I agree with the statement. This would also improve the quality of life for many city workers and their families. 阻塞,消化不良 参考例句:- The congestion in the city gets even worse during the summer. - Parking near the school causes severe traffic congestion. 2 commuting 交换; 上下班路程 参考例句:- I used the commuting time to read and answer my mail. - Noncommuting objects are as real to the mathematicians as commuting objects. 3 undoubtedly adv.确实地,无疑地 参考例句:- It is undoubtedly she who has said that. - He is undoubtedly the pride of China. 4 entirely ad.5 extraordinarily adv.格外地;极端地 参考例句:- She is an extraordinarily beautiful girl. - The sea was extraordinarily calm that morning. 6 scarcity n.缺乏,不足,萧条 参考例句:- The scarcity of skilled workers is worrying the government. - The scarcity of fruit was caused by the drought.
